Working with Hunt, T.Y.Lin, and Sienna Engineers, WPD won the Elmira DRI bid to design and implement three projects in downtown Elmira: Centertown Garage, Clemens Square, and the Mark Twain Riverfront Park along the Chemung River. For this project, WPD used  strong lines of sight to act as a unifying medium between the three project sites. The project is punctuated with nodes of activity and points of interest, creates a clear axis of movement through downtown Elmira, and acts as a gateway connecting the urban to the natural.
